How the Murundu Mission Hospital of Hope Developed

"When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, he had compassion on them and healed their sick." Matthew 4:14

1 in 7 children die before the age of 5

This is the way Gary and Rachel Chaney felt the first time they came to Mufulira Zambia in 2010.  They held medical clinics for a week.  The health care needs were overwhelming. The crowds and lines were long and the work was tiresome. Just like Jesus, they felt compassion for the people, they prayed for them, and they healed their sick.

50,000 people die each year of Malaria

In 2013, Samaritan's Purse donated a 40' container for our "clinic".  We returned with a medical team of fifteen and held many more clinics.  They treated many illness and diseases that are not as prevalent in the US ( such as HIV/AIDS, Malaria, Tuberculosis, Waterborne illnesses, etc;)

15.6% of the population is infected with HIV/AIDS

In August of 2015, God called their family to move to Mufulira Africa and serve the least of these.  God said to Gary "they need you" so they (the Chaney family) obediently left the comforts of their home and life in the United States.  The vision of a Mission Hospital was birthed.  They started construction in September 2015 and reached roof level in June 2016. (They had to Stop due to lack of funds). In August of 2016, they registered a professional NGO in Zambia named All Gods Children Zambia.

In March, 2017 they returned back to Mufulira Zambia (after 3 months in US fundraising and visiting friends/family).  Also, they had found out that Samaritan's Purse approved a grant for All Gods Children that would allow them to continue building the mission hospital.  This was an answered prayer.  However, they still need financial help and assistance to make the Hospital operational (tiles, the incinerator, other buildings, etc;). They have a big vision.  That is why they know it's God! (Where there is a vision, you make a decision, and depend on God's provision!)

Currently, they have made the decision to begin construction again in May, 2017.  Also, they will soon be making another road to the Mission Hospital.  They would like Phase I of the hospital to be operational in early 2018.  Please continue to pray for the Chaney family, their ministry, and the hospital.  Please pray about becoming a ministry partner with them!  This hospital will not only save many lives physically and spiritually but it will bring hope and healing to the poor and neglected in this region.

Our mission with the Murundu Mission Hospital of Hope is to provide free health care and education to the community of Murundu, Zambia, in order to glorify our Lord and bring the good news and hope of Jesus Christ. Our goal is to send out medical teams and anyone else (medical or non-medical) once or twice a year. We are commanded to go into all nations and care for the poor and needy by feeding them, providing drink for them, showing kindness, compassion, love to strangers, clothing them, and offering care to the sick (Matthew 25;31-44).

Medical Missions is an excellent way to evangelize the lost!!
