Starting in 2010 Loving God’s Children in the US has sent medical teams to Zambia. They serve the poorest villages, compounds, and areas of the Mufulira district. They work in conjuncton with Zambian nurses and physicians to bring care closer to the people. The teams set up a free 1-2 day health screening. They treat simple acute medical problems such as ring worm, malnutrition, dehydration, waterborne illness, upper respiratory and ear infections. They have a system in place to follow up with the more serious cases referring them to a local hospital. Once the team leaves the All God’S children Social worker and driver takes the serious and chronic cases to a hospital for follow up care. We also offer simple vision tests and offer glasses donated from the Lions Clubs in US. WE have had teams in 2010, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2017, and 2019 providing simple medical care, glasses, medications, clothes, and shoes to the people living in extreme poverty in the villages.
